1.所有的名词均分阴阳性
2.动词需要根据主语的人称来进行相应的变化
3.西语的字母发音比较单一 西班牙语在语音、词汇、语法体系等方面继承了拉丁语的特点。共有24个音位,其中有a、e、i、o、u,5个单元音 和19个辅音。b和v的发音相同,h不发音。此外还有大量二合元音和三合元音。重音很规则:以元音、n或s结尾的词,重音落在倒数第二个音节上;以其他辅音结尾的词,重音落在最后一个音节上。
读音规则
1.重音
1)以n,s或元音字母结尾的单词,重音一般在倒数第二个音节上,不用重音符号。
2)除了以n,s以外的以辅音字母结尾的词,重音位于最后一个音节上,不用重音符号。
3)上述两项以外的单词,重音都标出。有些词的重音发
生变化时,词的意义也发生变化,因此应当特别注意要找准重音的位置,如mas(但)和más(更),papa(土豆)和papá(教皇)等。
4)不管一个词有几个音节,它的重音一般只有一个。
5)当o和数词连用时,它必须加重音符号,以和0(零,cero)区分,如17ó18(17或18)。
2.音节的划分方法
1)单词音节以元音来划分,如pa-la-bras,这一点和英语很相似。
2)y在单独使用或位于词尾时可以被视为一个元音字母,如在词尾或音节的开头,应作为辅音字母。
3)以下所列组合是不能划分的:ai,au,ei,eu,ia,ie,io,iu,oi,ou,ua,ue,ui,uo,iai,iei,uai,uei,如果其中一个有重音,则按元音划分,如pa-ís,rí-o等。
4)ay,ey,oy,uy只有后面有元音时才可以划分,如果后面是辅音时,不可划分,如ha-ya和muy就是两个代表的例子。
5)出现在两个元音中的辅音字母应当划归后一个音节,但如果是ch,ll,rr,则两个辅音字母同时划归后一个音节。如果中间是两个其它辅音字母在一起,则可以让其分开,即一前一后,符合英语里“二分手”的音节划分规则。
6)介词前缀可形成音节的分离:如des-gradable,pre-colombiano;但是当前缀的后面有S和别的辅音,S就和前缀连在一起:abs-tener,cons-trucción。
7)两个c和n在一起时,处理方法和英语一样,必须分开:ac-ceso。

西班牙语的名词和形容词分为阳性和阴性。通常以-o结尾的名词或形容词为阳性,以-a结尾的名词或形容词为阴性。
名词和形容词都有单复数两种形式。通常为在词根后面加-s或-es。句子中的名词和形容词的性、数要一致。
动词
西班牙语的动词体系复杂,有很多不同的时态。在不同的时态中根据不同的动词和人称有不同的变位方式。通常西班牙语的动词分为三类:以-ar结尾的动词(第一变位)、以-er结尾的动词(第二变位)和以-ir结尾的动词(第三变位)。
以现在时陈述式为例:

以上为规则变位,西班牙语里有很多单词是不规则变位的,如tener(有),querer(喜欢),pedir(请求)。初学者应该要注意这些单词的变位。
西班牙语是曲折语。西班牙语的陈述语序通常是“主-谓-宾”结构。西班牙语的感叹句、疑问句分别要在前加上倒感叹号、倒问号,後面加上感叹号、问号。例如:¿Qué es esto?(这是什么?)iNo es verdad!(那不是真的!)
